Free and occupied beds for Covid-19 patients in Germany: CoronaVIS- Interactive display and analysis

Here you will find a current overview of the bed capacities in Germany. The information allows you to follow current developments throughout Germany. The aim of the CoronaVIS tool is to identify potential bottlenecks early on, to optimise the distribution of patients and to be able to use free beds promptly.

The current capacities are loaded for presentation. The process can take a few seconds. The tool works best in the Chrome browser.

CoronaVIS - the visual representation of free and occupied beds for Covid-19 patients is developed and maintained by the Data Analysis and Visualization Group at the University of Konstanz.

The representations of the bed capacity in CoronaVIS are currently based on the public data of the German Deutschen Interdisziplinären Vereinigung für Intensiv- und Notfallmedizin (DIVI) (Link). Please note that currently no access to the non-public exact capacity data of the DIVI is possible. Therefore, early warnings of overloads cannot be given at present. This early warning functionality and other functions have already been developed and are included in CoronaVIS, but due to the lack of access to the non-public exact capacity data of the DIVI, they are currently not activated.

CoronaVIS can be deployed at short notice and is not just a research prototype. It is continuously developed in cooperation with experts to provide the best possible support. You can find a short video overview under https://video.coronavis.dbvis.de.

On the following pages we will introduce you to the functionalities of CoronaVIS. If you want to use CoronaVIS directly, please close this window.
